The Puroh Process:
A Permanent Fix for "Forever Chemicals"
Finally, a way to actually destroy PFAS—simply, safely, and on-site.
The Puroh Process utilizes a Modified Advanced Oxidation Process (MAOP) to achieve the total destruction of persistent organic pollutants. Through fine-tuning of [Cold Plasma + Peroxy mix] interaction, the system generates high-density reactive oxidizing species (ROS) and solvated electrons directly within the aqueous matrix (bulk water).
This synergistic environment facilitates the cleavage of the high-enthalpy Carbon-Fluorine (C-F) bond under ambient temperature and pressure, creating powerful oxidising conditions. This oxidizing power of the process is equivalent to supercritical water, electrolysis or thermal incineration, but achievable at ambient temperatures and pressure.
In-Situ Radical Propagation: The [plasma-peroxy activation] generates a potent mixture of peroxy-compounds,
superoxide and other proprietary radicals, ensuring high collision frequency with target contaminants.
Bond Dissociation & Defluorination: The process is tuned to the resonance frequencies of organic moieties, inducing
excitation and subsequent cleavage of the C-F backbone of PFAS species.
Mineralization Pathway: Resultant intermediate chains undergo rapid decarboxylation and further oxidation, yielding
fluoride ions and CO2 as the primary end-products.
ENGINEERING SPECIFICATIONS & PERFORMANCE
Matrix Resiliency: The reaction kinetics remain robust across a broad range of inorganic co-impurities.
Short Cycles: Achieves 'below detection limit' target decontamination levels (at 50-1,000 ppt PFAS) within 2-5 minutes in a single-step, flow-throughready setup.
Simple: Operates at ambient temperature and pressure. Low energy demand. Could be seamlessly integrated into existing infrastructure.
Puroh Pty Ltd is evaluating strategic partnerships for industrial scaling, technology licensing, and infrastructure investment.
